World Water Day

I love water!
I love the ocean.
The sight, the sound, the taste.
Her strength , her calm, her fury.
I love gushing streams,
And wide open lakes.
I love a hot, sudsy shower
To start my day and clear my mind.
I love to sip a tall glass of
Ice cold water, rimmed with lemon.
I love the therapy of water.
I love that I never have to think about water.
It pours freely.
Abundant; wherever I go.

But today is different.
Today is about the
860 million people who
do not have access
to safe water.
Every day
they scavenge
for the basic human need.
People walk 3.8 miles
to get water.

Water Is Life.
Let it Rain.

The Worm Moon

There is going to be a big,

I've been awakened by it's brilliance
every night this past week.
I shot pictures of it from my back yard
last night.

So full of Hope.

of the many frightened and desperate people
across the globe,
particularly those in Japan.

Little Birdie

So, I just had a phone call.
Unfamiliar number on caller ID.
But a very familiar voice
on the other end!
"Hello!"...Tiff?!!
Yup, our little rolling stone
checking in from Lima, Peru!
So, this week,
she's not a rolling stone,
she's officially a Lima Bean!
Thank you, once again
to the sky pilots, the chauffeurs,
and.... the phone company!

Mama Bird can sing joyfully!

Fashion Icons in NYC.
Paris.
Extended eyelashes.
Professors gone wild.
Priests stripped of their collars.
The musicians.
The cost of Education.
The cost of no education.
Cutbacks and layoffs.
Flower growers in Columbia.
The housing market.
Tornadoes and Wind.

And then, a renewed breath of Spring.

Slow but Sure

Sheesh! It seems like
I've been out of touch...forever!
Hard to imagine it's only 5 days or so.
I think the speed of the internet has
something to do with that.
It's constant spontaneity.
Everything happens immediately.
News, thoughts, opinions, pictures.
Social media is outrageous.
But it can't make you well.
I've had the Flu, and it's been rough.
Had to send my Rolling Stone back home
without so much as a hug. It hurt.
My boys had to become instant nurses!
They did pretty well!
"Want tea?", "Need anything?", "Feel better?",
but the best part was getting my toes covered up!
I guess I did something right!
This morning, I was up for an extended period.
I told Wes " I feel weak"
His reply..."Take a nap." ...I said..
"I'm not tired, I'm weak." His reply..
"Then exercise"!!!!
Back, but oh so slowly.

A Change

Well, it's still Winter.
No change there.
